The Pfeiffer is an oil-sealed two stage rotary vane vacuum pump. The vacuum pumps are equipped with a high vacuum safety valve that vacuum seals the vacuum chamber and vents the pump at the same time when the pump is at standstill. The pumps are suitable for use in laboratories to generate coarse and medium vacuums and can also be used as backing pumps on diffusion or turbomolecular pumps.
